Expenses covered
In most instances awards will be granted to cover registration fees and/or lodging expenses at Willkie Residence Center. In some cases funds may available to cover all or a portion of airfare or mileage. Airfare and mileage expenses will be reimbursed after the Symposium and only after documentation of expenses incurred has been submitted..
Eligilibility
Because of limited resources, awards will only be given to applicants submitting and presenting talks or posters at the Symposium. Travel grants are restricted to young investigators (graduate and post doctorals) within 3 years of completion of Ph.D. All applicants must hold current membership in the American Peptide Society. Individual supplements may vary. Applicants are required to attend the entire meeting.
Submissions are assessed for:
- Eligibility.
- Scientific evaluation of the project (significance and innovation).
- Financial need.
- Previous Travel Awards received.
- Proximity to graduation and end of training.
- Coverage of a wide range of symposium topics.
- Financial aid distribution so that as many awards as possible can be granted and provide a level of support that is financially meaningful.

Symposium Registration (and optional reservations at Willkie Residence Center)
We encourage all Travel Award Applicants to register for the Symposium, but to do so in a manner that does NOT require payment of fees until after the grant applicants have been reviewed and final decisions about covered expenses are communicated.
TO REGISTER FOR THE SYMPOSIUM AND TO MAKE RESERVATIONS AT WILLKIE RESIDENCE CENTER WITHOUT HAVING TO IMMEDIATELY PAY, SELECT ‘PAY BY FAX OR MAIL’ WHEN THE PAYMENT SCREEN APPEARS. You will be able to re-enter the registration system at a later date to make adjustments in your reservations and payment. (Instructions to be provided)
