about dana

Passionate about life and willing to make tough choices in pursuit of living life fully engaged body, soul and mind. I believe there is a great divide between a life that feels OK and a life that feels satisfying to every fiber of my being. I’ve been to “hell and back” on several occasions. I’ve learned to live from the core of peace regardless of life’s circumstances.

Who am I? I am a lifelong student and lover of people from all walks of life. I am the wife to one amazing man who is my biggest fan. I am the mother to five remarkable children. Two are adopted from the country where a portion of my heart happily resides, Brazil. I love to cook, read, travel and watch movies. I love the vibration of a city but prefer to rejuvenate in nature.

I am a mystical follower of Jesus. I believe there is a gigantic world out there we cannot see with human eyes but we can see with spiritual eyes. I believe God desires to have an intimate relationship with each one of us regardless of our “religion.” I believe stillness is a necessary ingredient to peace and knowing one’s true self.

I am a certified Martha Beck Master Life Coach which is why you can trust the tools I use are effective and life transforming. I am a Social Worker by education. My work has encompassed teenagers, the elderly and everyone in between. I lived overseas for 10 years with my family. We repatriated late 2008 and Chicago is becoming our home.

I am NOT perfect. I make mistakes in ALL the roles I play. The difference is I don’t beat myself up about it. I get back up, I don’t allow the guilty voice to have a “hay day” rather I begin anew. I have learned to embrace all of who I am, even the dark side when it rears it’s head. It’s just a sign that something is not aligned within.

to do the same."
